How to create a Facebook account >>

First of all, Facebook is a very popular social-networking website that allows anyone to sign up for their account. Unlike other social-networking sites, Facebook caters to individual networks so that a person can connect with others in his or her college, high school, company, or geographical area. Here's how to create a new Facebook account from me ^^

     1.      Go to facebook.com and look on the right. You should see, "Sign Up! It's free, and always will be."
     2.      Enter your first name, last name, a valid e-mail address, a password, your gender, and your birthday.    Make sure everything is valid, and correct, and then click the green "Sign Up" button.

     4.      Fill out some of your profile info such as what company you work for and where you went to  school.

How to Create a Yahoo Group >>

It’s easy to set up a group e-mail for everyone working with you on classes,
the students and parents; just follow these steps:

1. Set up a Yahoo ID. If you don't already have one, go to
http://edit.yahoo.com and follow the link to "Sign Up".
2. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com. Click on the link "Start Your
Group". Follow the steps. You need a Yahoo ID to be able to run a
Yahoo Group.
Configuring the various Yahoo Groups options is up to you.
We set up our group so that all e-mail is moderated (must be approved
before they are forwarded to the members of the group).
Replies are sent to the sender, not the entire group.

How to create a Blog >>

A "blog" is an abbreviated word for web-log, is a web-based journal in which people can publish their thoughts and opinions on the Internet. It is everyone's home on the world wide web and probably their number one venting venue. Anyone can start a blog even us..

1. Firstly, according to a famous blogger, find a decent blogging provider that appeals to you. The most popular providers include LiveJournal, Blogger, WordPress.com, Xanga, Tumblr and Webs.

2.Once you sign up, you'll have a gallery of ready-made templates to choose from. With these, you can pick a color scheme and layout for your blog. Most sites come with a set of predefined layouts and schemes that you can choose from.

3. Next, decide whether you want your blog to be private or public: do you want any Internet visitor to be able to read your blog, or do you just want your friends and family to be able to read it?

4.After you've set up your blog, write a few posts to test it out, and make any adjustments to the layout or style that you see fit. Like if you just got a new template, you'd check your blog to see if you like it, right?

5.Visit other blogs to build a blogging circle. When you leave comments, add your blogging address so they can visit you too. (Note this guys: This will not work if your blog is private)

6.Publish your blog by sending the URL to your friends or publish the URL on your website. Add the URL to posts you make on other blogs.

First Week - Reflection ^^

First and foremost, Computer in Education is a new subject for me anyway. What captures my interest is, this subject deals with technology greatly and it is an opportunity for me to be a savvy in it. First day in class, I got really confused and kind a tensed up on what is required as our syllabus was comprised and needed me always to work on par. As the day passes by, I begin to understand what is being needed and I started to work towards it.
As this subject needs me to work on with my laptop all the time, so it is a compulsory thingamabob for me to bring it everywhere. Besides that, this is when I learnt most of skills, new terms and action needed to be a technology savvy although I actually took some time to master it.
On the other hand, the task given was to create a NEW official FACEBOOK account (with a group in it which will be named Computer in Education), a BLOG page, GOOGLE account and lastly YAHOO account (including creating a ‘YAHOOGROUP’ for more convenient communication between us the students and the lecturers).
Last but least, I am confident that this subject will be a fun one to learn mainly to master the awesomeness of technology. This will certainly help me and all of us to know the white and the black of technology. I really hope that by mastering these skills, it will help me in future where I am going to face my students who are all internet oriented and no more BOOKS being used(let us see what happens in another 5 years J ).

Thank You @ IK
GOD is GREAT! ~
